Westgate Las Vegas Doubles Down on Elvis Legacy With Two Immersive Concert Events

Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is bringing The King back to the International Theater with two immersive productions celebrating Elvis Presley’s landmark Las Vegas residency.

Following two sold-out performances last year, “1969 LIVE! The King Returns” will return July 31, with internationally acclaimed Elvis tribute artist Travis Powell recreating Presley’s historic 1969 comeback performances at the former International Hotel.

The celebration continues Oct. 24 with the debut of “1970 LIVE! That’s the Way It Was,” a new production inspired by the acclaimed 1970 documentary. Staged inside the same theater where the original footage was filmed, the show will recreate the music, fashion and energy of Elvis at the height of his Las Vegas run.

“No destination in the world has a more authentic connection to Elvis Presley than Westgate Las Vegas,” said Dawn Rawle, senior vice president of marketing and entertainment for Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.

“These productions are more than tribute shows—they’re living celebrations of entertainment history.”

The July event will anchor a full Elvis-themed weekend at Westgate on July 31 and Aug. 1. Programming will include “Karaoke with The King,” the complimentary Living Legends Series, live entertainment, Elvis-inspired dancers, a Blue Hawaii pool party and VIP tours of the International Theater.

Guests will also find themed food and drinks, spa and salon experiences and special hotel packages throughout the weekend.

Presley launched his record-setting Las Vegas residency at the International Hotel in 1969, helping establish the venue now known as Westgate as one of the city’s most storied entertainment destinations.

Tickets for both “1969 LIVE! The King Returns” and “1970 LIVE! That’s the Way It Was” are on sale now through Westgate Las Vegas.
