Four Chord Music Festival is returning to Pittsburgh for the first time in years — and the lineup is stacked.
The festival, presented by Smartpunk, is set to take over F.N.B. Stadium — Home of the Richmond Riverhounds — on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26. Throughout the weekend, fans will be able to catch sets from a mix of artists across post-hardcore, punk, emo, and alternative genres, including headlining sets from Knocked Loose and Pierce the Veil, as well as appearances from Underoath, Kublai Khan TX, Mayday Parade, Boys Like Girls, State Champs, We Came as Romans, and Motion City Soundtrack.
Others set to take the stage across the two-day event include Saosin, Counterparts, Mom Jeans, Cartel, and Hit the Lights.
Festival founder Rishi Bahl noted in a press released that “I just love the city of Pittsburgh” and “it possesses a resilience and a charm that matches the people who live here.”
“My love for punk rock started at the very location where we are bringing the festival back; my first ever Warped Tour was in this very space, and bringing it back is a full-circle moment,” Bahl said. “F.N.B. Stadium is a beautiful location near the confluence of Pittsburgh’s 3 downtown rivers, offering one of the most picturesque concert experiences.”
Bahl added that they wanted to “expand the festival’s reach by offering a day of bands that have never played Four Chord before.”
“I think the heavier bands coming to the festival provide a nuance we have never had before,” Bahl said. “Additionally, the Saturday lineup brings out all of the pop-punk and adjacent genres in new and familiar ways that our patrons love. I am confident there is a band for everyone at this year’s festival, and we can’t wait for everyone to see what our amazing city offers. See you in the pit.”
The festival previously hosted big-name artists like blink-182, All Time Low, Yellowcard, Taking Back Sunday, Bad Religion, AFI, and A Day to Remember.
Early Bird tickets are on sale now via the festival’s official website, with a public on sale slated for Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m. EST.
