Claybourne Elder will join the Off-Broadway revival of “Little Shop of Horrors” as Dr. Orin Scrivello D.D.S. beginning May 26.
Elder will replace Tony Award nominee Andy Karl, who will play his final performance in the role May 24. The current cast is led by Tony Award winner Nikki M. James as Audrey and Jordan Fisher as Seymour.
The company also includes Reg Rogers as Mushnik, Christian McQueen as the voice of Audrey II, Christine Wanda as Ronnette, Savannah Lee Birdsong as Crystal and Morgan Ashley Bryant as Chiffon. Ensemble members include Teddy Yudain, Weston Chandler Long, Mecca Hicks, Jeff Sears, Aveena Sawyer, Christopher Swan, Alloria Frayser, Chani Maisonet, Johnny Newcomb, Jon Hoche, Jonothon Lyons and Noel MacNeal.

“Little Shop of Horrors” features music by Alan Menken and book and lyrics by Howard Ashman. The musical follows Seymour, a flower shop worker who discovers a strange plant that brings him attention while creating dangerous consequences for those around him.
The revival is directed by Michael Mayer and features choreography by Ellenore Scott. The creative team also includes scenic designer Julian Crouch, lighting designer Bradley King, costume designer Tom Broecker, sound designer Jessica Paz and puppet designer Nicholas Mahon.
Martin P. Robinson serves as original puppet designer, with Tommy Kurzman handling hair and makeup design. Will Van Dyke is the music supervisor, orchestrator and arranger, while Jim Carnahan serves as casting director.
