Sherie Rene Scott will return to Broadway later this month when she joins the cast of “The Rocky Horror Show” revival at Studio 54.
The Broadway veteran will take over the role of Magenta beginning June 26, succeeding Juliette Lewis. Lewis will play her final performance on June 16. The role of Magenta will be performed by understudy Anania from June 17 through June 25 before Scott joins the production.
Directed by Tony Award winner Sam Pinkleton, the revival has emerged as one of the most acclaimed productions of the Broadway season, earning nine Tony Award nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical.

Scott joins a cast led by Luke Evans as Frank-N-Furter and Rachel Dratch as the Narrator. The company also features Andrew Durand as Brad, Stephanie Hsu as Janet, Amber Gray as Riff Raff, Josh Rivera as Rocky, Harvey Guillén as Eddie and Dr. Scott, and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as Columbia.
Additional cast members in “The Rocky Horror Show” include Renée Albulario, Anania, Boy Radio, Caleb Quezon, Andres Quintero, Larkin Reilly, Paul Soileau, and John Yi.
The production’s creative team includes choreographer Ani Taj, music director and orchestrator Kris Kukul, set designer dots, costume designer David I. Reynoso, lighting designer Jane Cox, sound designer Brian Ronan, hair and wig designer Alberto “Albee” Alvarado, makeup designer Sterling Tull, and production stage manager Bryan Bauer.
