Amazon Prime members are in for a treat next month, as popstar Taylor Swift has been announced as the headlining performer for the Prime Day Concert 2019.

The concert will also be available the following day for on-demand viewing.

“We can’t wait to celebrate Prime Day with an extraordinary night of unforgettable performances, for members around the globe,” Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music, said in a statement. “Prime Day brings members the best of both entertainment and shopping. To celebrate, we’ve curated a lineup across multiple genres with performances from artists our customers love. We’re looking forward to celebrating Prime Day with this can’t-miss, one-of-a-kind event.”
Swift has already garnered attention this year with her smash-hit singles “ME!” featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco and “You Need To Calm Down,” which will be a part of her forthcoming seventh studio album, Lover. The star released her last LP, Reputation, in 2017, best-known for “Look What You Made Me Do” and “Delicate.”
Amazon’s Prime Day is on July 15. While the concert will raise awareness of Prime Day, it was also help market Amazon Music, which is being offered for only 99 cents now for the first four months. Additionally, the concert will help advertise the upcoming Amazon Original Series, featuring movies like Carnival Row with Orlando Bloom and Cara Delvingne and the Emmy award-winning The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Potential buyers have the chance to purchase a $119 Prime subscription early, ahead of the Prime Day rush.
