Mastodon Plots Fall North American Run with Deafheaven, Alcest

The metalheads of Mastodon are heading out on a tour across North America this fall.

“The Poisonous Weapons Tour” kicks-off on September 16 at Orlando’s Hard Rock. From there, they’ll appear in Philadelphia, Toronto, Minneapolis, San Diego, St. Louis, Cleveland, and Memphis, appearing at venues along the way like The Riviera in Chicago, Montreal’s MTelus, The Fox in Oakland, the Brooklyn Paramount, and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium before wrapping-up at The Eastern in Atlanta on October 22. As previously announced, Mastodon will perform at Sick New World in Fort Worth, Texas following the run on October 24.

Throughout the tour, blackgaze bands Deafheaven and Alcest will provide support.

Tickets head on sale starting with an artist presale Wednesday, June 3 at 10 a.m. local time with the code MASO26 here, followed by a general sale Friday, June 5 at 10 a.m. local time.

Mastodon will be touring in support of their yet-to-be-named forthcoming record, due sometime this year. To coincide with the tour announcement, the band dropped the single “Your Ghost Again,” a tribute song to their late guitarist Brent Hinds, who died in a motorcycle crash months after departing the band last year.
