Kid Rock to Celebrate U.S. 250th Anniversary with 'Freedom 250 Tour'

Kid Rock is yet again showing off his patriotism with a headlining tour honoring the United States’ 250th anniversary.

The 10-date jaunt, dubbed “Freedom 250 Tour,” will kick-off at Dallas’ Dos Equis Pavilion on May 1, followed by gigs in St. Louis, Tampa, Noblesville, and Holmdel. He’ll appear at venues like Raleigh’s Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek, Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Holmdel’s PNC Bank Arts Pavilion, and Xfinity Center in Mansfield before wrapping-up at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.

Throughout the brief run, support will vary per date, including Brantley Gilbert, Parker McCollum, Jon Pardi, Big & Rich, and Them Dirty Roses.

Tickets head on sale Friday, February 13 at 10 a.m. local time.

Notably, the “Freedom 250 Tour” is produced by Live Nation, where Kid Rock will appear at various U.S. Live Nation venues, though the “All Summer Long” singer has been working alongside republican lawmakers and President Donald Trump to fight for fair ticketing. During a recent senate hearing on ticketing, Kid Rock called Live Nation and Ticketmaster’s merger “a monopoly dressed up as innovation.”

The newly-announced tour coincides with Rock the Country Festival, where Kid Rock will top the bill at most stops. The festival, which touts a “celebration of community, tradition, and the spirit that’s carried America through 250 years,” has already stirred-up controversy, causing Ludacris and Shinedown to drop-off the lineup.

Kid Rock will also perform this Sunday at Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show,” which has been dubbbed a “right wing counter-program” to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance.

“[Bad Bunny] said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool,” Kid Rock said in a statement announcing the gig. “We plan to play great songs for folks who love America.”
