Foo Fighters, Megadeth, The Offspring to Play Hellfest 2024

Europe’s popular festival Hellfest announced the final round of four-day pass sales, along with the first list of confirmed acts, including metal and rock heavyweights Megadeth, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, The Offspring, and Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson.

Hellfest’s 2024 edition is set to take place in June 27-30 at its usual location in Clisson, France.

Drawing flocks of rock and metal fans to France from all over the world since 2006, the festival will also host Dropkick Murphys, Royal Blood, Bad Omens, All Them Witches, Babymetal, Biohazard, Brujeria, Brutus, Dark Tranquillity, Dimmu Borgir, Eternal Champion, Fu Manchu, Korpiklaani, Kvelertak, Madball, Nova Twins, Rhapsody Of Fire, Satyricon and the Interruptors next year.

“We still have over 160 bands to announce by the end of the year,” HellFest said in a social media statement. “Be patient. You won’t be disappointed!”

The festival released the first wave of four-day passes this past July when none of the acts had been announced yet – a typical move from the established organizations whose solid lineups are always appreciated by rock fans in one way or another. Germany’s Wacken Open Air is another annual heavy metal event whose tickets happen to be sold out even before any of the lineup has been revealed.

Following the inevitable cancellations due to COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-21, the festival made a seven-day comeback in 2022, featuring 350 bands with an attention of 60,000 people per day.

The 2023 edition of Hellfest featured KISS, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Arch Enemy, Within Temptation, Skid Row, Incubus, and many more, keeping the previous year’s haste with 200,000 sold-out tickets before the full lineup was even announced, according to Le Monde.
