Arianna Rosario will join the Broadway cast of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” as the Satine alternate beginning January 31 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Rosario, who most recently played Satine on the show’s North American tour, will appear in the role during Saturday matinee performances.
Rosario succeeds Hailee Kaleem Wright, who will play her final performance in the role on January 25. Under the current casting schedule, Meg Donnelly, who joined the Broadway company in November, will continue to portray Satine at all other performances.
The upcoming engagement marks a return to the Broadway production for Rosario, who previously appeared in the ensemble of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical.”
Rosario will star opposite Christian Douglas as Christian. The current Broadway cast also includes Bob The Drag Queen, who joins the company January 27 as Harold Zidler, David Harris as the Duke of Monroth, André Ward as Toulouse-Lautrec, Ricky Rojas as Santiago, and Samantha Dodemaide as Nini.
